Specimen Requirements

Add equal parts of cytology fixative (50-75 ml optimal) to sample immediately after collection. Label specimen container with patient name and date of birth

Required Information

Complete the Incyte Diagnostics requisition with the patient's demographics and relevant clinical history. Label specimen container with the patient's full first and last name, second unique identifier, and specimen source/site.

Stability

Specimen is stable at room temperature with fixative for 24 hours or can be refrigerated for up to 3 days

Unacceptable Specimen Conditions

Unlabeled specimens, Specimens in incorrect fixative (such as formalin) can only be processed as a cell block.
