General Information

Rapid Detection of RSV by rapid chromatographic immunoassay for patients less than 19 years of age. The RSV FIA employs immunofluorescence for detection of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) nucleoprotein antigen from the nasopharyngeal swab.

NP swab:  Submit swab in 1 mL saline
Nasopharyngeal wash:  Submit sample in sterile container
