History

1957
   - Alton Stier, M.D., joins brother & father at Stier Laboratories
   - Later that year, Dr. Stier joins M. Patton, M.D., to form Patton-Stier Laboratories; Laboratory housed in the
      Paulsen Medical Dental Building

1964
- Three pathologists now on staff
- Become Laboratory Medical Directors at Holy Family Hospital, Spokane, WA

1965
   - Dr. Patton's interest in the laboratory purchased
   - Laboratory renamed Pathology Associates
   - Business manager hired
   - Four pathologists on staff
   - Laboratory management by partnership of pathologists with rotating medical directorship responsibilities
   - Became Laboratory Medical Directors at Valley Hospital and Medical Center, Spokane Valley, WA

1969
- Pathology Associates splits into two entities - Pathology Associates Inc., P.S. (currently InCyte Pathology,
P.S.) and Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories (PAML)

1971
- Laboratory moves to the North Spokane Professional Building on Lidgerwood

1974 – 81
- Pathologist staffing increases to six

1980
- Become Laboratory Medical Directors at Kootenai Medical Center, Coeur d'Alene, ID

1983
   - Laboratory moves to valley location – 11604 E Indiana Avenue
   - PAML (clinical laboratory) sold to International Clinical Laboratories; Pathology Associates Inc., PS,
       (anatomic laboratory) retained by pathologist-owners
   - Inc. PS provides medical directorship for PAML and contracts for certain PAML services (courier,
       education, etc)

1993
- Pathologist staffing increases to ten

1998
- Pathology Associates Inc., P.S., takes over leased employees from PAML (approximately fifty employees)

2000
- Become Laboratory Medical Directors at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane, WA

2001
- PAML moves to a location in downtown Spokane; Inc PS remains at Indiana address

2002
- Sacred Heart Medical Center employee-pathologists join Pathology Associates Inc., PS, to increase
pathologist staffing to seventeen

2003
- Pathology Associates Inc., P.S., changes name to InCyte Pathology, P.S.
- Become Laboratory Medical Directors at Kadlec Medical Center, Richland, WA

2005
- New InCyte Pathology laboratory completed at 13103 E Mansfield
- Current pathologist staffing at twenty-one
