Amy M. Backer, M.D.

Dr. Backer is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology with subspecialty fellowship training in gastrointestinal surgical pathology.

She is a graduate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine, where she also completed her internship and residency.

Dr. Backer completed a year long gastrointestinal surgical pathology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, under the tutelage of Drs. Harvey Goldman and Donald Antonioli.

Dr. Backer joined InCyte Pathology in 2002 and is the current Laboratory Medical Director for Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
